Kluwe needs to realize that just because you have an opinion about various issues, doesn't mean you need to spout off publicly about ever one of them.
He just wasn't very good at giving the other team the ball anymore. That, plus coming off a knee injury, and making over 1 mill per year to give the other team the ball spelled his doom.
The way I look at it, punting the ball is giving up. "We don't want the ball anymore. We are willing to give the ball to the other team." Quitter mentality. Punting should be abolished. But if you must give up, might as well do it for under 1 million a year.
