Visanthe Shiancoe confirmed Tuesday that "some" Vikings players were told of Brett Favre's plans to retire recently, but says he wasn't among them.
"What I'm hearing is it is true, he did decide to retire," said Shiancoe. "(But) until I hear it from his mouth, I'm going to leave it at that." It's worth noting that NFL Network's Mike Mayock was at Vikings camp Tuesday and "noticed no difference" in the behavior of OC Darrell Bevell or QBs coach Kevin Rogers. The Vikings had to expect some sort of song and dance so early in camp.
