Did Henderson have any characters roaming Main Street in the 1950's?

Too bad the old jailhouse couldn't have been been preserved as a historic site. It told a story of life at a different time in history. More than a few spent the night there with the jail cell unlocked. A safe place to sleep it off after one too many at a local watering hole. Nothing on the "police blotter" come morning.

Col. Petersdorf, Bill Bolt (shoe repair?), Francis Plagman, Ervin Severin. (Forgive the misspellings, please.)
