Eucharistic Celebration is at St. Thomas on Saturday, December 16 at 5 pm. Weekday masses are at 9 am. On Tuesday mass was for Judy Brown and on Thursday mass is for Members of the L.A.O.H.

Many enjoyed the Christmas programs at St. Scholastica, in Heidelberg and St. Joseph’s in Lexington after masses on Sunday.

Donald and Joanne Schwartz, Rosemary Burns and Betty Olson enjoyed “a really nice” musical Christmas program at St. Joseph’s School in New Hampton, Iowa, on Sunday. Lauren, Bonnie and Kelly, daughters of Steve and Jeanne Schwartz, performed in the program.

Connie and Julie Odenthal entertained for the Odenthal family Christmas, on Saturday.
Donald and Penny Odenthal from Brooklyn Park, Marilyn Odenthal from Arlington, and her daughter, Joannie Dose, from between Henderson and Arlington, Bernice Michel came from Webster and her son, Chuck Michel, who lives and teaches in Las Vegas, was present as well. John and Becky Colwell from Lonsdale, Ted and Tracy Odenthal and their family enjoyed the gathering, too.

Jack and Vangie Burns enjoyed lunch with Eugene and Margaret Pexa of Shakopee at Emma Krumbee’s in Belle Plaine on Tuesday, December 5.

Joe Holden won a turkey in the door prize drawing at Fahey’s Consignment Auction on Saturday.

Mara Johnson and Corey Vlasak of Eden Prairie were united in marriage at The Little Chapel of Flowers in Las Vegas on Saturday evening, December 9th. Guests enjoyed dinner at Churrascaria Pampas Brazilian Grille, located in Aladdin Hotel’s Miracle Mile. The bride carried her grandmothers wedding ring tied her bouquet and the groom’s ring, a Claddaugh band shipped direct from Dublin, Ireland straight to the Aladdin, where they stayed, arrived just before the wedding. The ceremony was viewed, via internet, by family and friends here. We wish the bride and groom many happy years together…and a quieter ‘happily-ever-after.’ (175,000 people from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association were in Vegas for The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and 15,000 more took to the streets for the Las Vegas Marathon that began with fabulous fireworks boomin’ and bangin’…at 6 am!) Corey is my son…and one generation from St. Thomas.
