I thought I was going to a section championship basketball game tonight and it turned out to be a bricklayer's convention. I thought I was wathcing our HHS team of old. I don't think either team shot better that 20-25% from the field. Hopkins did win but it was one of the ugliest high school games I've seen.
The Sports Pavillion at the U of M is a beautiful facility but the court is laid out for volleyball with basketball lines put around it. I swear the players were affected by it.

Are they using 3 officials for all the playoff games down your way or just for the semi-finals/finals? Does LSH ever get 3 officials during the regular season?
Any comments of the 3 compared to the 2?

Lastly: To any of you coaches out there....Please avoid this kind of behavior....

Belle Plain is going to state was a good game as for officials we still only use two can't afford three yet.
And finally as a coach myself I couldn't believe when I herd about that story he must not have taken his pathegen classes.

HOLY COW!!! Did anyone see the 4A Championship game? If you didn't check out sportcenter on ESPN! The shot at the end of the first overtime by Blake Hofharber of Hopkns was probably the most unbelieveable shot in the history of basketball!

I saw it. Incredible shot!!!!! Couldn't believe that it went in. He just kind of threw the ball up there in desperation & it went in. I would have to agree that is the best shot I have seen in quite sometime.

At first I had no idea that someone had actually shot the ball. It just kind of flew up in the air and went through the hoop! I think a lot of the Hopkins people were focused on the "no-call" of their player that got obliterated right in front of their bench that not many people saw Hoffarber shoot the ball.
