Or...I have a better idea..since this is the big 20 year, what if we all went to Vegas!!! Those that want to come great, those that can't, fine..we could do a Charlie's Bar thing for those that can't make it!

or we could revive our class trip and take a bus down to Holiday Inn on Nicollet Avenue. Fill stereo speakers with booze, have ostrich fights in the pool, and show up smashed to Chanhassen Dinner Theater! : )

The cabin idea got thrown out b/c of cost and being able to get away for some people. Vegas sounds great but there again, it would only be a chosen few. My only concern is that if we're going to "book" something, we really need to do it now.

I know that I've always been one of the chosen ones!

Geez give me some damn cards! (Oh wait that's the hold'em game I'm playing.)

I think KISS is our best option (Keep It Simple Stupdid)...not intended at you or anyone else Jodi...it's just a phrase!

Of course you're one of the "chosen" ones. You were also the chosen one to rip up my pictures of you during the class trip when you were wasted! Anyway, I'd really like some serious feedback PEOPLE!! Urgh...this is getting frustrating!

I'd like to apologize to Vic for my last entry. Apparently, he doesn't like to talk about the class trip. Again, I'm sorry!

Sounds like we'll be doing the same old thing. A party locally or maybe a bus to bar hop. Either way, more information will follow closer to May of 2007.

If you really want some specific ideas...here goes...

First:
I think it would be nice to a have a "traditional, small town" catered buffet dinner...fried chicken, ham mashed potatoes, etc...the kind of food that was always served at weddings, school proms etc. I haven't had that kind of meal since the last wedding reception I attended in Henderson.

Second:
I think we should have a DJ playing all 80's music and invite graduates from at least the classes of '86 and '88 to attend...heck maybe even the classes of '85 and '89 too. The truth is with Henderson being such a small high school we all had friendships (some frendlier than others if ya know what I mean) with people in these classes and we have not seen them in years.

Thirdly:
I think it would be nice to invite our former teachers and school staff.

I think a reunion should be held in our hometown. Many of don't get there as often as we should. Personally I don't have an interest in the cabin/resort idea. I realize that I am fortunate enough to have access during the summer to a lake/cabin and that kind of makes it less appealing to me.

Hope that helps....should we form a "committee" to meet sometime this fall and throw around ideas and crunch some numbers?

I like getting together with a few people and discussing it. I think there were some great ideas thrown out there but it's hard to get a consensus.

Velocity-good ideas.....if you want to include other classes, I'm sure I could scrounge up some of the class of 88. I'm not sure if my Black Rage t-shirt quite fits anymore though.
