I can barely remember Antique Ag Days, well i was only 5 or 6 at the time. I do remember the tug o' war event. Does this bring back any memories?   photos from the Bender family

Besides the Tug O' War, weren't there tobacco spitting, pipe driving, keg throwing, and mechanical bull contests? Threshing machines? Or am I thinking of another festival? I believe my older brother Steve still holds the spitting contest record of 19'8". Yeeeee hawwwww!!!

I think I have a distant childhood memory of watching Steve spit that record. Did he use his hand to pull his lip really tight? I think I remember something like that. Wasn't it on a long board and they had to measure it? Any chance the tobacco spitting contest will come back? Maybe Steve and Denny could have a clash of the titans face-off!
