It's Saturday night and it seems the snow is accumulating very quickly. What's it like in your area? Any "Chatter" members in Cheeseland?

I figure we got about 8"-10" in St. Paul (Highland Park). Of course my 3 year old Sears Craftsman snowblower is starting to breakdown on me. They say bad things happen in 3's. I've got 3 parts that have broken off of it this year alone and it has only been used once. So much for quality "American Craftsmanship!"

We got at least 13 inches up here, possibly more. It just started snowing again.
Last night there was a lot of blowing and drifting and it was pretty quiet outside. Today the snowmobiles are out in full force!

I had a dream last night that I was in Henderson and they were clearing the streets of snow. During the winter do they still put a sign up in the middle of mainstreet on nights when they are go to clear the snow?

Based on the news coverage from the weekend, we had at least 31 inches of snow on the North side. Any other reports? It was a true indication of community how people braved the elements and managed to get out and about this weekend. I saw kids jumping from second story windows on homes where the front door had been drifted shut. I saw one family tunnel though the snowdrift to get their vehicle out of the garage.

My cheeks are sore from shoveling yesterday. That's when you can tell it was a high moisture content. Sore cheeks.

I personally like when all local news stations give reports from the side of a highway.
"This is Greg James reporting, just off of 494, as you can see the snow plows are out and yes it's snowing, quiet heavily i might ad(chuckles). If you have to travel in the next 24 hours MNDOT advises that you drive carefully. We'll keep you posted on the road conditions, stay tuned."

I gutted a bison so I could climb inside for shelter just in case I was stranded in my car somewhere.

That trick saved Han and Luke from certain death. Too bad you didn't have a light saber to cut open your bison the way Han Solo cut open his Tonton. Both channel 4 and either channel 9 or 11 had reporters drive to Mankato yesterday. On the 10:00 pm news they reported that the drive back to the cities on 169 took them over 2 hours.....shocking....absolutely shocking!

Did you get your car towed V? I heard over 1000 vehicles were towed away in St Paul during the snow removal process.
