Does anyone buy meat from the trucks that stop in selling meat door to door? Today this white van rolls in and the first thing that goes through my mind is for being an older van, why doesn't it have license plates. Then I see the phone number on the side of the van is 3 area codes away. So now this stranger wants me to buy some meat from him and I am sure his beer cooler has kept that meat at the right temp all day. I declined, telling him I get mine fresh from town and it's the best around. (I think I just implied I like George's meat.)
I've got to come up with some snappy come back, such as:
No thanks, but I will give you five bucks for your hat.
No thanks, but I collect lug nuts and will give you a buck for one of yours.
