Father. Roger Hessian will be having one more mass at St. Thomas this fall. Our next Mass will be on Saturday, October 22 at 5:00 p. m.

.Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur will have masses with Father Chris Shofner: Saturdays at 5:15p. m. and Sundays at 8 a. m. and 10:30 a. m.

Father Hessian officiated mass Saturday to about 45. Micky Sullivan read the liturgy. Gary and Shirley Rutt,
Kevin Halloran and Jim Oak collected and offered the Gifts. Jess was back for mass, accompanied the St. Thomas Choir, and may be back for Christmas. The Choir members were Judy Glizscinski. Margaret and MaryJean Halloran. Brad and Lynn Stenzel, Chuck, Marie, Renee and Catherine.Retka and Tom and Loni.

Mass of Christian Burial for Paul Sweeney will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 10:30 at St. Anne’s in Le Sueur. Visitation Is one hour prior to Mass. Lunch is served at St. Anne’s.School. Paul will be laid to rest here at St. Thomas with Military Honors following lunch. Memorials may be made to St. Anne’s School. Paul and Ellen lived on the old Hale farm when they lived here near St. Thomas. Their daughter, Judy Brown, was married to Bill Brown is laid to rest here since 2004, and Paul’s wife Ellen since 2013. Paul is a former veteran, captured by the Germans, was a POW, and received a Purple Heart. Another hero is laid among our Dearly Departed.

Gary Rutt was a business caller in New Prague on Friday

Lorretta O’Connell, daughter her daughter Vickie, enjoyed lunch at the FishTale last Thursday.

Twenty-five members of Le Sueur’s“ Class of 67” gathered at The Bar in Le Sueur on Tuesday for an annual get-together. This writer always thought 102 were in our class, Gary Einertson said 104..only 2 partners attended ...so I made a list of the classmates, and gave up!

Dennis Tietz hosted a wonderful retirement party after years as Scott County Sheriff deputy, at his new home between Heidelberg and highway 19 on Saturday evening. A great band entertained, great food served and a great time was had by all!
