All SATURDAY MASSES AT 5:00 pm on June 18th, July 23rd and August 13th.
St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur will have masses with Father Chris Shofner: Saturdays at 5:15p. m. and Sundays at 8 a. m. and 10:30 a.
Paula O’Connell joined her Mom Janice, and Aunt Shirley Blaschko, at a late lunch at the Roadhaus recently.
A nice crowd attended the Memorial Day Mass and program on Monday. The highlight of the service was Father Roger’s blessing of the graves of our Dearly Departed, including St. Thomas’s Unknown Soldier. Much appreciation to Dick and Kenny O’Connell and any helpers for their dedication to our St. Thomas Church grounds and putting flags at the resting places. Tom Graham for reading our St. Thomas list of departed veterans and Mary Jean Halloran for ice cream at the Ice Cream Social.
Dorothy Ann Schindler passed away May 24,2022. Visitation was held on Tuesday, on May 31 from 4-7 at the Le Center Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, June 1, at 10 am at St. Mary’s with Father Stiles officiating, with visitation 2 hours prior at church. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery. Drothy was born to Cornelius and Dorothy (Connelly) Killduff. She married Russell in St. Thomas June 1951. Dorothy, “Dotsy” or “Dottie Ann” whatever you called her, in our memories “she is one of our friendliest, and we have a lot of ‘em.” Her voice and the ring of her laughter can still be heard at the Eyeball in the rafters.
The Jim and Rita Hessian family hosted a beautiful celebration of life in honor of their mother Rita who passed away last year. The celebration took place at Lagoon Park in Jordan, Minnesota, on Sunday May 29.  Rita was the first born of James W. and Agnes (nee Retka) Sullivan of St Thomas.  St. Thomas was well represented by the Sullivans and their families.
Janet Marie Callahan Mullenmeister died on Wednesday, May 26, 2022, in New Prague, Minnesota, at Praha Village at the age of 73. Born to Tom and Katherine Hayden Callahan, raised on a farm on the St. Thomas side of New Prague. She graduated from New Prague high school, and attended Faribault Technical School. Jan met her husband, Mike Mullenmeister, while they both attended school in Faribault. Jan is preceded in death by her beloved husband Mike Mullenmeister, her parents “Buddy” and Kathryn Callahan, her in-laws Paul and Mary Mullenmeister. She is survived by her adored sons Steven (Andrea) Mullenmeister, Scott (Melanie) Mullenmeister; dearly loved grandchildren Mia, Sam, Jaxson, and Will; her siblings Mike (Lynn) Callahan, Dan (Ramona) Callahan, Judy (Rick) Hanzel, Jean (Lloyd) Busch, and Jane Callahan (Jim Bullard); and 36 devoted nieces and nephews. Visitation took place at the Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 833 Marschall Rd, Shakopee, MN 55379 from 3 to 5 pm on June 1st, followed by a service beginning a 5 pm. Private interment will follow.
Maci, beloved fury friend and companion of the late Corrine Connelly, has passed away on May 29, 2022. Maci had become a popular sight about the town of Henderson with Corrine. Corrine gifted Maci to her friend Fran Tiegs’s before Corrine’s passing on May 24, 2014. Then, Maci and Fran became a popular sight about Henderson and Maci became Fran’s loyal fury friend since Corrine’s passing.
Tyler Vlasak, Corey and Mara’s lad and our grand, belongs to a “Young Men’s Service League in the Cities. The League is a 4-year high-school student volunteer program. Monday, they spent the day putting flags on the graves at the Fort Snelling Cemetery.
Members and their families gathered for the opening day picnic, held Monday afternoon at the St. Thomas Sportsman Park.
