John Edmund Seaver, Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather passed on to the Lord at the age of 76 on Sunday, January 9, 2022 with his family by his side at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia, MN. Memorial services will be determined at a later time.
John (Jack) was born on November 23, 1945 in Minneapolis, MN to Herbert and Eileen (Efta) Seaver. He grew up in the St. Patrick/Jordan area. He married Kathleen Liebhard on April 24th 1965, at Assumption Church in Assumption, MN. They were married for 56 happy years raising 5 children in rural Belle Plaine, MN and moved to Henderson, MN about 12 years ago.
He began working at a young age on his Grandpa Efta’s farm and also worked at a service station in Savage, MN. He then transitioned into 50 years of truck driving, including driving a milk truck, gravel truck and later independent truck driving having his own trucking company. He absolutely loved Peterbilt Semi Trucks. He was a very hard worker and together John and Kathy worked hard to provide for their family.
John had a passion for old cars and enjoyed watching old car shows on television. He also had a passion for coming up with many new projects around the house. He very much enjoyed going to auctions, garage sales and antiquing with Kathy. John loved spending time with his family and sitting around together talking about everything under the sun. John’s family loved to listen to all of his stories and his advice. He loved his wife and kids and family very much. He absolutely adored having his grandchildren around. He was always there for his family whenever they needed him. Words cannot express how much he is loved and will be dearly missed.
John is survived by his wife Kathleen of Henderson, MN. Children; Curtis (Sima) Seaver of Bloomington, MN, James Seaver of Henderson, MN, Michelle (Michael) Thackrey of Plato, MN, Russell “Rusty” (Sandi) Seaver of Henderson, MN and Heidi (Noah) Schwalbe of Waconia, MN.
Grandchildren; Corey (Leah) Schaaf, Darya, Ryan and Kara Seaver, Tasha and Derek Seaver, Vaughn (Jackie) Phillips, Valerie Seaver, Amber (Brandon) Roberts, Brittany Thackrey, Collin Thackrey, Traugott, Odin and Castle Schwalbe. And many Great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Siblings; Danny (Penny) Seaver, Dale Kohler, Tim (Janette) Kohler, Susan (Bob) Fahey.
Sister-n-laws; Linda (Brian) Trost, Janet (Vlad) Martz, Lynette (Larry) Johnson, Layna Liebhard.
Brother-n-laws; Robert (Carol) Liebhard, Leroy (Doreen) Liebhard, Brian (Shiela) Liebhard, Wayne (Joy) Liebhard.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-n-law Gene Liebhard and sister, Chrissie Kohler.
