St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur will have masses with Father Chris Shofner: Saturdays at 5:15
p. m. and Sundays at 8 a. m. and 10:30 a. m. Check the website for more information if needed.

Maureen Meger Busse’s Memorial Mass was at Our Lady of the Prairie, Saturay, January 8, 2022. Maureen fought her battle with the dreaded cancer with a brave and cheerful attitude. In our memories Maureen will always be one of the kindest ladies we know. John and Maureen were eager and active Pioneer Power members, she helped with the flowers and mixed pancake batter for the breakfasts during the show, among other various jobs. Our Sympathies to her loving husband John, and their
children Laura, Pete, Kristi and Baby Busse...and to Maureen’s siblings, who will all meet together again... someday.

Orrin Retka and Dick O’Connell enjoyed lunch at the Toy Box in Kilkenny, Monday .

Congratulations to Hattie Tuck and Caleb Sullivan on being selected as one of the Le Sueur Henderson School ‘Students of the month.’

Davie Connelly spent time ice fishing with friends on Lake Washington over the weekend.

Mike and Paula O'Connell enjoyed Friday evening at the Roadhaus.

Emily Sullivan is once again playing basketball with the Wild Wheelers, a wheelchair basketball team based out of Mankato. Last season had been canceled due to Covid, so she was especially excited to get back on the court with her teammates. Practices are held every Saturday for the next few months and culminates with one or two scrimmages against the Rolling Rowdies from the Twin Cities.

Bob and Casie Graham joined Tom and Loni as they attended the Mitchell Hall Concert at the Waconia High School Saturday evening. The concert was a fundraiser for Alyson Feltmann, a former member of Mitchell’s original band, ‘The Six Outlaws’. Alyson was in a devastating motorcycle accident in October. Alyson appeared on stage with Mitchell’s former band as a surprise to Alyson, and Mitchal’s present band ‘The Tennessee Three.’ They sang Elvis songs, and of course Johnny Cash... and we raised the roof with the Feltmens’ requested “everybody join in and sing”… ‘How Great thou Art” Amazing!

Speaking of Johnny Cash...Tom and Loni were killin’ time Friday afternoon at The Unique Classic Cars collection in Mankato, when we happened upon the last car owned by Johnny Cash on display there. Sign said, “Not for Sale!”

Have a great week, folks. We’re off to see “Spider-Man”... Fran, Dee...and Me!
