Christmas Eve Mass in St. Thomas was wonderful. It always is... Father James Burns officiated with Jonathon and Stephanie Cink assisting as altar servers to a little over 200. Todd Sullivan read the Liturgy. Jim Flaspeter, Jim Connelly, Bob and Becky Block took up the gifts, Jim Oak and Debbie O’Connell assisted Father with Communion. Jessica Retka played the organ while her mother Marie, directed 25 choir members. Father loves being here at St. Thomas as much as we do. Rumor has it He may be here for Easter. Now, I wonder who started that rumor...hope it was Father Burns.

This writer smiles knowing of two, oh there’s more, who are resting among our Dearly Departed who truly enjoy their families dearly, but loved the cozy quiet after the party and all went home... more. Many enjoyed family gathering to celebrate Christmases past, present and thinking of Christmases in the future. Our family was home... all of them...It was wonderful! Until somebody let our outside “Cat from Hell” in. Number one brave grandson, who thinks he’s a “Cat Whisperer” gently caught her and cradled her in his arms on the way to the door, when the cat realized she was on her way out! Number one grandson was determined she was! Total Chaos! Good thing he lives in Rochester where the ‘Love of his Life’ is a physicians assistant. Cole ended up in E. R., later that evening getting checked. All is well...NOW.

Caleb Sullivan and his dad Jim went to the Vikings game. Caleb turned 12 a couple weeks ago and this was one of his presents. The outcome of the game wasn't ideal, but the meal at Buffalo Wild Wings after the game was.
