Diane M. Schaefer, age 73 of Winthrop, formerly of Henderson and the Twin Cities died at Good Samaritan Society in Winthrop on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Memorial services will be Wednesday, June 30, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Centennial Lutheran Church in Henderson, MN. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m. that morning. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery, Henderson, MN. Lunch to follow burial at church.
Diane was born on June 25, 1947 in St. Paul, MN to Herbert & Loretta (Wentzlaff) Schaefer. She grew up in Henderson, MN and graduated from Henderson High School in 1965. She attended Mankato Tech and studied nursing. She worked many years at various clinics and nursing homes as a nurses aid. She enjoyed her time with family and friends.
She is survived by her siblings; Robert (Mary) Schaefer of N. St. Paul, MN; Sylvia Reinhardt of Le Sueur, MN; Gary Schaefer of Henderson, MN; Linda Messerli of Winthrop, MN; Wayne (Sydney) Schaefer of N. St. Paul, MN; Jim (Missy) Schaefer of Le Sueur, MN; Mark (Debbie) Schaefer of Le Sueur, MN; Michael (Karen) Schaefer of Delano, MN and Carol (Derek) Flynn of Mankato, MN. Sister-in-law; Cathy Schaefer of Henderson, MN. Many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert & Loretta Schaefer and siblings; Mary Lou Kahlow, Donald Schaefer and Sally Schaefer.
Memorials preferred to Centennial Lutheran Church in Henderson, MN.
