Well, that was an interesting run by the Vikes - I guess entertaining describes it better which is great for Vikings' fans. Nice to see a win at Lambo, which every other NFC Norris team did this year - YIKES. One of these days Teddy is going to be able to throw the long ball, wow does that look rough. I was glad to see at least one mis-direction and Mankato's Thielman get a big gain. They should run more of that. The play clock management when way ahead was horrible - gave away a good minute if not more.

On the bright side - nice fake punt. Good job of not stopping on the Erin turnover - the Cap't has come to play this year. I was a little disappointed the Vikings didn't blow up the QB on the turnover - think Floyd Peters a.k.a. Sargent Rock. And nice to see the kicker not miss any kicks.

The line for Sunday's tilt started out at 7 and is now down to 5.5. Lots of money put on the Vikings to cover as home dog thus the big swing. 3 out of 4 visiting teams this coming weekend are favorites. Game time TEMP prediction keeps dropping too - started at 15 and now down to 12 degrees.

Vikings' fans should enjoy the week. When those Packer fans start talking championships keep in mind they will NEVER know what it's like to think this year could be the first. And if their bitterness continues point out at least when the Vikings beat the Lions this year they didn't jump around like they had just won the Super Bowl. Seriously, Erin throws a pass at game's end for the win and they go bananas - it's the Lions for cripes sake! What a bunch of clowns - embarrassing. Wouldn't it be interesting to see the Vikings host the Pack for the NFC championship - could happen. Could happen that Jeff can go a day without admiring himself in the mirror, too. Not likely though. Anyhow, NFC Norris Champs - bam!

Big tilt Sunday, I dare say probably the biggest game of the year. Big, big game. No one gives the Vikings much of a chance at a win and I guess I don't see it either. The Vikings really struggle against teams with a good defense line and being it will be bitterly cold, the run game is what we will probably see.

Defensively for the Vikings the Seahawks have a wealth of weapons especially if they get Marsha Lynch back. The QB can run with the best of them I would suspect that Don Zimmer will have Crow Barr spy on Russ Wilson. I suspect about the only way the Vikings win is if Seattle turns the ball over about 3 times and the Vikings special teams comes through. Luckily, the game is being played on Sunday and as they say, any given Sunday. BTW - seats still available, I just saw on Shub Tub seats on the 50 yard line, 7 rows up for 150 clams. Wow. SKOL!

It's gonna be a slobberknocker...a brouhaha....a snotbubbler.

I remember my first bitterly cold game. Late in the season vs the Cleveland Clippers in their stadium. Must've around 25 degrees. As a sophomore, I was relegated to special teams only....mainly the kickoff team. (that's a big deal as a sophomore).

At one point during a kickoff I got my fingers between my helmet and a Clipper helmet during a collision. Not sure why my hand was up around my helmet during that time. Poor technique I reckon. Or I was trying to keep my too-big helmet from bobbling all over the place. (that's what sophomores get, helmets that are too big and uniform numbers that get halfway tucked into your football pants)

Anyway, it took awhile before I could feel my fingers. I think it was by Bucks Lake on the bus ride home.

That's what the Vikes need to do this Sunday. Get some Seahawk fingers between some helmets. Get a few of those and we're golden.

I would also have my defensive linemen tape ice cubes to their faces for an extreme psychological advantage.

"You see that? DO YOU SEE THE ICE CUBES ON MY FACE?!"

What a fun season of Vikings football - too bad Walsh snatched defeat from the jaws of victory - wide left. It's right up there with Disco Darren dropping the pass against the Skins back in the 80's. The beauty of all that is maybe next year will be the first time for the Super Bowl.

Interesting that Zimmer cans the O line coach considering AP got the rushing title - don't know if that's ever been done before. Tony Saprano is now the new coach - Parcells favorite guy, it's kind of like Parcells is running the team.

Draft day will be interesting - I don't know that drafting an O lineman is the right way to go even if that is the biggest need. I'm thinking cut Wallace and with the $ saved there go after someone like Richie Incognito - an experienced O lineman that's not a nice person. I'm thinking the O line could use a little nastiness. Then maybe draft a WR in the first round - probably could use a good running back too as AP will most definitely be on the decline next year.

The defense is pretty stout -evidence by one busted play by Seattle is what beat the Vikings. Need some depth and I would think the old guy Terrance Alan Newman won't be anywhere close to what he was this year. Might need to go after a CB in the second round of the draft or maybe a safety that can maybe play a little LB like Arizona does - that's a good look. Speaking of LB - Greenway wants to come back - I don't know, good guy but unless it's like at league minimum not sure about that.

The Vikings could also use a backup QB - when Shawn Benny Hill was in the game it was very Benny Hill like. RGIII would work. You heard that first here.

Just think if the Vikings would have won last weekend, they would have been playing during the comedy show that's in town tonight and that wouldn't have been good. And remember Vikings fans, when the Cheeseheads start spouting off remind them how the Vikings didn't jump around like a bunch of clowns after beating the Lions, like Erin Rogers and the Packers did. We're happy for ya.

Next year - right? Heck yes. The Vikings will win it all next year. Or maybe in couple when the Super Bowl is in Minneapolis. Makes me wonder how many Super Bowls were held in Green Bay - or Milwaukee for that matter. I'll have to google that. SKOL!

Welp....with the Wild parked in the garage for the year and the Twins striking out more than a bachelor at Charlie's at closing time, I turn my attention to the Vikings.

It's draft time. Our beloved Vikings are slotted to pick at #23 this year. The Rams and Eagles have made trades to target their respective quarterbacks of the future, and have given up way too much to do so, in my opinion. I'm glad we have Teddy Throwsevelt as ours and don't have to do what those teams did.

I'd say the team foundation is built and it's time to shop for curtains and lighting fixtures. They addressed the offensive line issue with a couple transactions during the off season, so they don't have to reach for an offensive linemen at pick 23.

They could use another flankerback, a big target to pair with 2nd year guy Stephon Diggs. Laquan Treadwell and Josh Doctson could be that guy. But I think there's better value at 23 than those two.

Zimmer likes his cornerbacks. There may be one there at 23 who I think they will pick; Eli Apple from Ohio State. You can never have enough corners in this passing league. Then they could shuffle some picks and move up to grab his team mate, wide receiver Mike Thomas in the second round.

Super Bowl homeboy.

Good work as usual Bnag. I'm thinking DL or LB. Evryone talking WR so I don't expect that. Hopefully Myles Jack is still around - could be his knee injury scares some off. Don't see an OL being taken by Vikes in round 1, so if a run of them goes that will play into the Vikings' hands. Seeing WR Josh Doctson on lots of sites as the Vikings pick. Keep in mind Zimmer is defense guy and who doesn't love a shutdown defense? Think Myles Jack.........

Treadwell, nice. Not exactly Randy Moss, more of a Cris Carter type.

My guy Eli Apple lands in the Big Apple, where they now have 2 guys named Eli who are familiar with interceptions.

Myles Jack still available, questions on his bum knee.

LETS PLAY!
