All around better performance last week - but the Chargers will be a big challenge this Sunday. Rivers is a pretty gosh darn good QB and Wisconsin's Melvin Flash Gordon is as good as any rookie RB in the league. At WR, there is Eddie Royal - who can be a royal pain in the caboose. The Vikings defense will certainly have their hands full. Interesting enough last week, Chad Greenway only played 16 snaps so it looks like he might be on the way out to pasture, been a nice run for the farm kid for Dakota. One thing to watch will be the O line of the Chargers, they are dinged up which might be tipping point for the game.
The Chargers defense doesn't strike fear in anyone but the 3 4 defense can be a struggle for the Vikings. Old Norm Turner will be facing his former team from 2012 so one should expect an early Halloween on the gridiron Sunday, as Norman opens up his bag of tricks. AP looked decent last week, which was evident when the Vikings called the boot leg and the Lions sent 9 guys to tackle the empty handed AP as Teddy waltzed into the end zone for the TD. I'm hoping to see Diggs this Sunday, he's been a healthy scratch the last couple weeks.
I was thinking of taking the underdog Chargers and 2 points but now I'm going with the Vikings and betting $20. Bankroll currently at $40. We're staying away from the over under as betting that the last two weeks was like throwing money down a rat hole. Look for Steinborn at the game - he'll be the one with the big head.

Wow - another good performance by the Vikes this past week. Another game of were the D put the hurt on the QB - Rivers is a pretty tough cat to take some of those hits he did. It should be interesting if the D puts the hurt on Payton Manning this week. He is very well respected by all and with the Bronco's O line is also thin, like the Chargers' O line was. It will be interesting if there are any snot knockers handed out by the Vikings. (That's one of the old coach's term - snot knocker.)
AP had flashes of the old AP and the Broncos' defense right now is one of the best in the league, so something has to give. I have a feeling it's going to be AP and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Broncos crowd the line and see if Teddy can beat them while dealing with the crowd noise in Denver.
The line started at 4 and has quickly gone to Broncos favored by 6.5. The over under is 43. The over under again seems low but again we are staying away from that. Last time there was a big jump with the line we went with the money, this time we're going to try the opposite and are putting 30 clams on the Vikings to cover but I wouldn't bet on a win. Current bankroll is at $60.
For those looking for easy money, take a look at the Raiders @ Bears, Raiders favored by 3. With the Bears trading away players and Cutler nursing a sore hammy (wink, wink), take the Raiders to cover. Not sure I would bet the farm but one might want to bet the seldom used tractor in the corner of the machine shed.

I've heard too that it's the Broncos D that should be our biggest worry and not Manning. Although Manning to Thomas seems to be working real well so far. We shall find out I s'pose.
Speaking of snot knockers Xavier Rhodes took one from his own teammate Sunday in Sendejo. Obviously concussed by the way he meandered to the sidelines with help. Good news is that he passed his first test and now it sounds like he's good to go for Sunday. Seems hard to believe this day and age with concussions but maybe his eggs were more over easy and less scrambled.
Should be a good one Sunday as kickoff is near the end of the encore roll in at 3:25pm. Reserve your spot early Norton!

I have simulated this game on the kitchen floor using Peanut M&M's 14 times. Denver was the orange ones, Vikings were blue (no purple's).
Taking the average of the final scores of the 14 simulations, I have Denver winning by the score of 23 to 17.
Things to watch for during the real game based on simulations:
The blue M&M that wore the magic marker-ed #3 kept missing a 4 floor tiles long field goal, which equates to a 42 yarder on the actual gridiron.
Keep an eye on the orange M&M, #88, to get tripped up by a piece of uncooked spaghetti noodle piece.
Blue M&M #13 get's eaten during the game.

Big win by the purple Sunday - Zimmer keeps working his magic with the defense. After being burned by the blitz a few times he dials it back and lets old man Newman (Newman!) play his game and he comes up big. AP doesn't quite look like MVP AP but he still looks above average. 84 has looked like heck all year but comes up big with a return for TD - it was better blocking than running so the credit should go to the other guys on the field at that time.
It's an entertaining team to watch and kind of reminds me of the Bud Grant teams - good defense, don't make mistakes on offense and try and squeeze out special teams play that is a game changer. BTW - Scherels is probably the best all around special teams player on punts ever as he is very dynamic on kicking and receiving. Rochester Minnesota's finest.
Packer week is always fun and that much more fun when the purple stand a chance of beating the dreaded Cheese in Green. Let's hope Erin Rodgers keeps playing like he has the last couple weeks else all the closet Packer fans will be clucking next week. Cluckers.

Gonna be a snot-bubbler. I'll refrain from making a score/win prediction, as I've hexed many teams in my pick pool this year.
I think Zim Tzu pulls out a blitz package we haven't seen before for this game though.

Oh my - the Cards are favored by 10.5 over the Vikings for tonight's big Thursday night NFL tilt. I guess, with the big nose tackle out, Barr out, and Harrison Ford out the Cards might put 45 or 50 up on the board. Time to take the leash off of Teddy and let him wing it - wait, seen that a few times this year and let's just say airing it out probably isn't his strong suit. Maybe Corduroy Patterson or Rochester's finest, Marcus Sorels can return some kicks for touchdowns. Could happen. As they say, any given Sunday. Wait, it's Thursday. Dang it.
