Robison may not play either. It's interesting when a 2-8 team has so many players that all of a sudden can't play cuz that tweaked ankle just doesn't wanna heal fast enough. If they're 8-2 they might tape an aspirin to it and get out there. What the hell do I know his foot might be falling off.

Vikings release AJ Jefferson after he lands in jail for domestic assault charges. If it's Chris Cook they can keep him when he is charged but I guess AJ isn't good enough. Oh well, hopefully the domestic partner is OK.
Rewinding to Sunday's game - what a thriller. I really appreciate a good tied game in the NFL - just because it's such an oddity. Word has it some of the Packers were waiting for the second quarter of OT to kick in - still might be waiting. They must have gone to Syracuse like Donavan McNugget - stupid Syracuse.
And leave it to Pounder to screw things up, what with his QB rating of 110 he does everything he can to kick the Vikings out of the top pick in the NFL draft, and he just might have. Thankfully some of the WR's dropped some balls and the defense went into sieve mode to keep the Vikings from winning. A loss would have been better but at least it wasn't a win. And the beauty of the tie is that there will probably be no (rigged) coin flip to decide where the Vikings draft.

S0oooo - Erin Henderson was arrested with like 2 pounds of Goofinfowl and drunk - What? OK - I'm thinking Audie Murphy played well enough that we don't need him. Bad angles and bad decisions - Minnesota doesn't need you just because of that. See ya.

Oh my what an exciting game last week. One can watch a lot of football and never see such excitement. Thankfully the Vikings didn't blow it as with the loss they moved from like number 6 pick to number 4 in the draft. If they can keep it rolling and wish luck to some of the other teams it might get to a number 3 or 2. Ski U Mah Vikings!

JEEPERS - with the win Sunday over the NFC East leading Eagles the Vikes go from having the #3 pick in the draft to #8 now. So much for a franchise QB. (BTW - Big Al says sign Phillip Rivers and draft a defensive linemen) Cassel looked like Tommy Kramer (best Vikings QB ever) and 44 looked like Chuck Foreman - no no no, not his 2 yard average the number on his back. There ought to be a rule against giving 44 to anyone on offense.
Sunday's tilt against the AFC North leading Bengals will be an interesting matchup. Andy Dalton, the Red Rifle, will be looking to make some big plays with AJ Green. Anytime you mix Red and Green it's like Christmas. No pass rush from the Vikings (playing outside in the cold) will make for some big offensive output. If Cassel can do his Tommy Kramer impersonation (highly doubtful) it could be a 41 to 40 type game. I don't expect a Vikings win as they always do just enough to screw it up, which is what the win last Sunday did.

Sure hinder sight is 20-20, but really, I saw Dalton beat Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl and I said to myself, "he looks like he knows what he's doing, that's the QB the Vikings should draft." That was the only time I saw him play in college, and I never saw Pondler play, or any of the other guys that were available, so I'm not really an expert. I do know that all you Vikings fans that were cheering for the Eagles on Sunday should take caution because it's not always when you pick, but who you pick, like Burt Favre, Aaron Rogers, Russ Wilson ... just a couple guys that weren't picked first.

Denver's coordinators are being mentioned as candidates - Adam Gase and Jack Del Rio. Adam Gase? The smart thing would be to hire quick so one can gobble up the good coordinators that have been fired - like Scott Linehan.

Looking back, it makes one wonder why Josh Freeman was ever brought on board for 2 million dollars. I can understand taking a look at the guy but they did so after he was here 4 days. Why wouldn't one run him out there at the end of the year?
Another head scratcher was how Audie Cole was cut and resigned, hardly plays and then goes to starting MLB. The linebackers were brutal and whoever thought the three that started the year were NFL caliber should never coach again in the NFL - which might have been Mike Singltary. Greenway had a broken wrist but the other two were horrible.
Courdoroy Patterson showed his game changing skills in the first game but yet he in only in there for maybe half the plays all year, and he hardly touches the ball, terrible. Heck, he single handily beat the Lions in the last game. Just the threat of him busting a big play should result in him being on the field for just about every play.
The defensive line was way below average and there will be lots of holes to fill just there. With playing home games outdoors at TCF stadium there will need to be a major overhaul there as the D line stunk up the place playing outside in the elements.
I would guess Spielman is selling the Wilfs that it will be a rebuilding project targeting the 2016 season as when the playoff push will start, opening season for the new stadium. By then AP will be washed up and the Vikings still won't have a QB. A good NFL team needs a top 10 QB, maybe the Vikings can sign Phillip Rivers or Jay Cutler. I wonder if Tommy Kramer has any sons?
