Good bye Jasper Brinkley - I always liked that name. Now what? Some reports have it that Urslacker might be in the mix. Yuck. Maybe after the signing of Howard Cassel at QB Joe Webb might be moved to MLB? He does have hands of stone.

The great signings keep coming for the Vikings- Seth Olsen the Willmar native is back in the fold! WOW. BTW - that's Norwegian versus the Swedish Olson for those that like to split Scandinavian hairs. And don't forget, you can always spot a level headed Norwegian as snus runs out both sides of his mouth.

BAM - another great signing as Andrew Sendejo puts his name on the line. The roster is really coming together.

What are the Vikings going to do with Seth Rosenfeldt now that they released him? I'll hang up and listen.

Heard through the grapevine (yes, I listen to grapevines) is that the Vikings will be doing a uniform change starting next year. Going back to a similar look of the ones they used when Two-martini Tommy Kramer and Scott Studwell roamed the field in Met Stadium's last years. As I reported back in November *proud Barney Fife sniff*, the Vikings are indeed changing back to the vintage look of yesteryear. Got that Sid Hartman? I, BNag, scooped your scoop. *drops mic You can reach Sid at Shartman@startrib.com

Spielman is saying the Vikings are interested in trading down which means...........the Vikings are interested in trading up. He also said D-Line is the main concern which translates into middle linebacker and wide receiver being the first couple choices. I'm thinking Spielman played a little linebacker back in his day and Studwell certainly played some which means they know what it takes to get the job done in the middle. That intangible is being like Paul Revere's ride - a little light in the belfry and the best fit there will be Mini Me from Notre Dame. Which will start the run of another 2 or 3 Norte Dame guys. Rumor has it Stu Lotz might even come on board to help coach and motivate as he loves Minnesota.

Although if Colatteral Patterson, WR from Tennessee is around at 17 or 18 the trade up might be to get this guy. Mark it down.

My insider sources dartboard has the Vikes snagging a cornerback at 23, then dealing down at 25. Look for Florida State corner Xavier Rhodes to be the guy. Outstanding measurables on this guy. Even scored a 61 on Marty Wexler's toe grip test. Last Florida State corner to score that high? That's right....Deion Sanders.
It's either going to be Rhodes, or it'll be some other guy. Book it.
