We unfortunately gotta be Packers fans tomorrow night. They win over the Bears, Lions lose to the Niners, and we trounce the Colts guess what?

First place all by ourselves!!!!! Super Bowl homeboy.

Unless Green Bay beats themselves again of course. Try not to beat yourself Packers. Please?

Skeddy - it's a win win deal. Either the Packers lose or else your scenario plays out. I hoping to see a tie game when its over.

Purple Souled folks have their hearts pumping with the potential of a 2-0 start after a miserable 3-13 season when their Horn Helmeted Warriors travel to Indianapolis to confront the horse-shoe hatted Colts. Second-year QB Christian Pondler found his bearings after a miserable start and guided the Vikings to an impressive if not convincing 23-20 overtime victory over the high-powered Jaguars in week #1.

Expect Colts rookie QB to exploit a still out-manned Vikings secondary, and 41-year-old Reggie Wayne to emerge from his casket to catch 9 balls for 135 yards and a score. Donald Brown and Vic Pollard will combine to rush for 140 yards, leaving Vikings fans chasing to their fantasy football notebooks to see how they missed on Pollard and whether he’s worth a waiver wire claim.

Pondler will fall victim to an energetic Colts crowd and struggle as his wide receiver’s struggle to gain any separation continues, even against a less-than-stellar Colts defense. He’ll finish 17 of 37 for 179 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT.

Colts 27, Vikings 16. Key stats – Colts 9 of 15 on 3rd down. Vikings 3 false starts and 1 illegal motion penalty, at least two of which take them out of a manageable third down situation and set up third and long.

Let me guess. Reggie Wayne is on your fantasy football team. Structure.

Vikes will be on top of the NFC Norris after this weekend all by themselves. The purple kool aid is on ice Vikings fans. There's plenty to go around.

Skol!!

I'll call ya with a halftime score, leave a message on your voice machine. Then I'll call ya back a couple more times so you knows its me. That'll be your signal to get out of bed, mix a pitcher of purple kool aid, fix a plate of nachos and watch the second half. Or is that too much structure for you?

Structure meaning a torn seat of the pants guy like yourself might not like to know what he's gonna eat or drink for a Vikings game, wanna just see what you feel like on game day. And considering you'll likely be at the Turek thing reliving that tackle you made against Nicollet on Parent's Night and spilling Schlitz on yourself until midnight, you might need a call to get yourself up for the second half. It's the least I could do.

There's too much structure in you calling me that many times at those designated times of the game. Be more random why don't ya. Try calling me after Ponder throws for his 3rd TD at the 8:15 mark of the 2nd quarter or something.

However, I'll be at the Road Hog for the game and my wind up Playskool phone doesn't get very good reception there.

Wait a minute! I've decided two days before the game where I intend on watching it. That is wayyyyy too much structure for this guy. On second thought, I'm unsure of my whereabouts on Sunday. Don't call me. BWAHAHAHAHAHHAA!!!

Skol!

How about I call ya when Pondler throws his third touchdown of the season? It'll probably be about Thanksgiving, so maybe we can just discuss it while we eat Joe Klecko sized plates of food after an afternoon of creamation. Then I avoid the stress of you not answering your d@m^ phone and you don't have the stress of avoiding phone calls. Does the cat look at you like "you gonna answer that" when you let the phone ring? Sorta like she does when you're hiding in the corner when someone's knocking at the door?
