Over under on how many guys are having a good camp or good preseason = 8,according to the announcers.
Last week the homer announcers made it sound like we are headed to the SB.

Where was Berrian last year? McNugget still has a gun, that was quite the throw. Good time for a special teams failure, if that goes the other way the Vikings win. Webb and Pounder look real athletic. If Webb is 3rd string he can play WR, etc. so I would expect Webb to be named #3.

The pass to Berrian was impressive. Left me wondering when the Cowboys picked up Vikings safeties. #43 had some great footwork, might've dislocated a hip trying to switch directions, then the other guy did the dive into the bottom corner of the TV screen at play's end.

Pounder to start Thursday so it looks like we won't see the starters until the San Diego game. Weak side LB is a joke and I would expect when rosters are trimmed to 53 on Saturday the Vikes will be picking up some old has been.
If the LB position isn't improved I can envision Dan Fouts and Winslow will have a big game. Chuck Muncie is probably good for a buck 50 too. With the current defense it will be hard to stop Air Coryell.

The Vikings sign former Texan linebacker Xavier Alibi and cut the Iowa kid (Tight End). I don't think the LB corp is that impressive (minus Greenway) and if one goes down it could get real ugly. Although the roster looks smarter now with an Xavier on it.
The lack of experience at O-line is interesting. I am surprised they didn't resign Artis Hicks after he was released but it might be salary cap reasons that they went with youth.
Greenway gets a big extension which now leaves AP. I don't see them trading AP for the simple reason he puts people in the seats. Trading McNugget before the trading deadline might be more likely if some QB's get hurt the first few weeks. (Go Christian Pounder!)
The D-line will be interesting to watch the first couple games with K. Williams on suspension. That should give his plantar facialitis time to heal up, but I would bet that will be a season long issue for him.

Spread is 9 and over under is 41. Using Henderson math, that would mean the Bolts win 25 -16. Vikings cover and take the over.

Field goal fest. Chargers will take it 26 to 16.
Look for Charger head coach Bobby Ross Marty Schotenheimer Norv Turner to eschew the pass once they get inside the 5 and try to punch it in with Mike "Bag-o-donuts" Tolbert.
Sodbuster McNabb is crafty with his play action. StatsInc actually lists him as 43.7% more crafty than Trasavarious Jackson in his play action motion. It could pay off and we pull an upset.
SKOAL POUCHES!!

Look for the Vikings to come out in a 9-2 defense, employing five D-lineman and four LBs, and using only cornerbacks to defend the pass. There are no safeties on the roster worthy of playing pro football at present.
First of double-digit wins ... 29-9 Vikings. A field goal fest, yes, Vikings kick five, Chargers three. Vikings defense/special teams scores at least twice, McNabbSandwich throws for two and Peterson rushes for at least one touchdown. Rivers leads a strong Charger passing attack but they self-implode in red zone all day, largely due to the Vikings unconventional 9-2 defense.
