There will be Easter Sunday Mass at St. Thomas ... 9 a. m.

This Monday evening as the weeks news is coming together ...Mary Hanlon is in Hospice at her farm with her Minnesota family continuing to be constantly by her side. Mary's out-of-state children are flying home this week from Florida, Arizona, and New York. The Easter Mass at St. Thomas Church on Sunday will be dedicated to Mary. We are praying for Mary and her family to have peace during this Easter season. A big “Thank You” to Fr. George of St. Anne's, and to Fr. Roger Hessian, who have both continued to visit Mary at the Hanlon farm home, and of giving them the honor and the memories of having masses said at their kitchen table... at this time.

Jim and Mary, Gary and Shirley, Jerry and Catherine, among so many others from St. Thomas, enjoyed the wonderful country breakfast that was served at St. Scholastica on Sunday. The banana and lemon poppy seed breads and the cookies we brought home from the St. Scholastica bake sale to the grandones ... didn't see Monday.

Save the date! June 10th ... Le Center Legion... the event … Don and Mary Halloran Hayden have been married for 50 years!

From the Archives:Belle Plaine and Le Sueur Fire rural fire equipment were called to the Callahan store in St.Thomas where a fire had started in the family' living quarters above the store. The blaze was confined but all the second floor rooms had smoke damage. The store on the first floor had some water damage. BPH March 30, 1951

Katelyn Landwer, grandkiddo number 4. celebrated her 4th birthday with playmates and family in Mankato at the Childrens Museum of Southern Minnesota -Play Lab...oodles of fun.

A Happy Birthday to Ashlyn Mae Simon, born on April 24, 2009.
Happy Birthday, the 22nd of April to Iris Sullivan
Birthday Greetings to Peggy Sullivan on April 30th
Kim Holden Goetzinger ... May 1 (whoops that's for next week?)

Spring has sprung, the grass is green. Now ain't that the prettiest color you've ever seen?

Have a good week, folks.
