I found an interesting article from the Star Tribune's Web site. It ran in Dec. of 1999. Can't believe i missed it. Henderson and history

Hey, I missed it, too. The article mentions that there are several building in town that are on the historical registry. Besides the courthouse, what others? This would be an interesting part of the website, perhaps? A picture of a recognizable building or landmark in, or around Henderson, and the brief summery of it's history. Just a thought. nj

The entire block of main street on both sides starting at the Joseph R Browm museum down to the new post office, and from Ed Visions (the old post office) up to Benders, I believe is all on the historic registry. I am not sure about the Drug store or Wagers. I also think that the Henderson House across from the old high school is on the registry. We have a very active historic preservation group in Henderson. Many of the older buildngs on main street are being transformed back to their original facades, and many new retail ventures are entering them this summer.
