There have been a lot of great all-time endings to Vikings games, but maybe none greater than last night. Anytime a performance like that ends, it's great. Chili got fired, but he lives in TJack. And I'll betchya $2 cash that the Vikings 50th Anniversary Celebration game is held at Ford Field in Detriot next weekend.

Here's how that game ended. Greatest all time ending to a Vikings game?

I remember being 8 years old and watching this game at Howie's with Camel and I ran outta the room as they lined up for the hail mary. Plugged my ears and made loud noises because I was too nervous to watch. I think Camel nutted up and watched though. Needless to say I've always regretted not staying in the den to see that miracle pass and catch that won the division in 1980. Grrrr!!!!

It believe this was the first of many times in my life I was told to relax or be quiet or to settle down while watching the Vikings. In time I would follow Skeddy's lead and leave the room, cover my ears and go "blablooblablooblablooblabloo" over and over until the winning kick or pass or run was thrown and kicked or whatever. In hindersite, that was pretty stupid. My mother shut the TV off on me once when I was about 13 or 14 because I through a shoe at the TV during a Packers game. I had to beg her and make a number of unreasonable promises to get her to let me turn it back on. There are some that might say this behavior is ridiculous, but I call it passion. And passion is a good quality, regardless of how it makes us act.

I recall a few times where brother Steve and I made a pact to "run to the yield sign and back in our underwear" if the Vikes pulled out a miracle win. I don't remember ever doing it though. It was always the fear of Audrey Kjellesvig or Jack Van Core driving by and seeing us.
