The Packers opened up their books today and team President Mark Murphy said that the team's "local revenues" have been flat since 2007. Last time Brett played for the Pack? Yep..2007.
He also went on to say the team went from a profit of 34 million in 2007 to 9.8 million last year. Part of that has to do with the league's revenue sharing.
So, the way I figure it, the Packers dumped their greatest player of all time, who eventually signed with their hated rival, and because of revenue sharing, they are pretty much paying for Brett to play for the Vikings.
Just heard a report on "THE SCORE 960" out of Chicago that Favre has told some guy from the Biloxi News Reporter that he is not looking too forward to a returning to New Orleans, and his decision to come back would be easy if the first game of the season wasn't in New Orleans. He said he's forty and doesn't know if he would recover from that kinda pounding that early in the season. He mentioned that he might report to the team after that first game. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
