Dear Community of Henderson
Be informed that on Monday Feb 25, there was a man in a Black Dodge Charger seen taking pictures of children getting off a bus on the corner of Minnesota Street and S 4th Street in Henderson. The police department is currently investigating the incident and will be posting more information tomorrow. Please let us know if you have any information in regards to this incident.

There was also a posting on a Belle Plaine website about a Dodge Charger parked outside a house taking photos. When the lady confronted the vehicle it drove away. I know no other details as this story was told to me by a co-worker after I shared this tidbit.

This car was seen going past Hilltop Elementary this morning. Luckily our district has two adults outside with students at all time! Had we seen the picture sooner we could have tried harder to get the license plate. We'll be on the lookout!

My daycare informed me there have also been reports of a white car in Arlington within the past couple weeks, most recent being this week. The pampers phone calls, black charger and white car...just seems like so much of a coincidence this is all going on at the same time. Wonder if it's related? Scary.

I would just be on the look out at all times if you have kids or take care of kids. Too many reports like this in Sibley County. I know I watch my day care kids until they get on the bus in the morning and when they get off afterschool and my dogs bark at anything that isn't normal but anything can happen in the blink of an eye! Hope someone can get a plate number of the car soon!

UPDATE: I spoke with two children at Hilltop Elementary about the incident with the Dodge Charger. The man was described by one of the children as being "older” with a receding hairline. The windows of the vehicle were tinted. There have been reports of the vehicle having dark rims also. If you see a vehicle matching this description please attempt to get a plate number. Please do not attempt to stop the vehicle.

Per Superintendent Hanson:
The LSH School District is aware of the reports of a suspicious dark colored car with dark rims and darkened glass being sighted in Henderson near bus stops and Hilltop School. The police have advised us to continue to be alert for any more sightings and report them to the Henderson or Le Sueur Police Department. If you see the car, DO NOT approach the car. Get a licence plate number (if you can safely) and call the Police.

I'd pull that KIA over - sounds like something dishonest going on there. It's the people that say "nothing going on here" that are hiding something. I bet if the snow is removed from the license plates one would find expired tabs or maybe a cracked windshield.
