The Tigers did it in typical fashion last night as they came from behind yet again to defeat the Arlington A's 4-3 in 11 innings at Jordan. The third straight Region 6C playoffs walk off win clinches the locals it's first state tourney berth since 1932. Other notable events which occurred in 1932 include....

October 1 - Babe Ruth makes his famous called shot in the fifth inning of game 3 of the 1932 World Series.
November 8 – U.S. presidential election, 1932: Democratic Governor of New York Franklin D. Roosevelt defeats Republican President Herbert Hoover
in a landslide victory.
December 27 - Radio City Music Hall opens in New York City.

Henderson will now play the Milroy Irish on Sunday, Aug. 20th at 5pm in Hamburg. Milroy competes in the Gopher League which is located in Western MN. They finished with a league record of 13-6 this season while playing teams such as Luverne, Pipestone, and the Hadley Buttermakers.

This year's state amateur baseball tournament is being held in Green Isle, Norwood, and Hamburg from Aug. 18-20, 25-27, and Sept. 1-4.
