OK, let the Nick Plonto bashing commence, but last night was one of the most pathetic displays of middle infield in the history of major league baseball. Three times in two nights the Twins have botched ROUTINE double play balls (and twice in probably three weeks Cuddy has decided that he is going to try to pick the ball at first instead of just making sure to stop it, and twice the ball has gotten past him and a run scored). The shortstop Hardy had an error last night, too.

So, let the Nick Plonto bashing begin, but this is not "Twins" baseball, this kicking and flinging the ball all over the field. Plonto would be a much better choice in the middle, and any time you are given a chance to make two outs you have to make the two outs.

Last night is the kind of loss that could send a team spiraling.

Good call Camel - the Twins really suck without Pluto. They would be way better off with the little guy in there. What are they now? - six games up on the Sux after the beat down from Detroit today.

What's up with Fuentes? MRI says nothing is wrong. I guess they don't call him Daisy for nothing.

Good night to have an off day since the Queens are on.

Looks like the Twins will host the Rays in round one - I don't think Texas can catch the Twins with Hamilton hurting.

Day game tomorrow today - I'm guessing the Twins lose - hard to play with a headache.

Gotta catch the Yankees for top seed. Already came across a negative nancy this morning. Customer said if we were in the East with the Rays and Yanks Gardy wouldn't have all his division titles and that he's over-rated. Yeah well you know what...we aren't in the East and we just won another division title. Told him to stop hatin' and...enjoy the season.

You should have asked them if they know what the payroll difference is (213 vs. 97 million) - just sayin' if Gardy had the players the Yankees did OR if MLB had a salary cap - blah blah blah.

Well, here we go again, the cute little engine that could (or couldn't based on recent history) vs. the big Machine. What happens this year? Is 2-9 v. the Yankees in the post season a thing of the past? Is 18-54 overall under Gardenhoffer too much for the Twins to overcome mentally? Or is it fo' real that Huddsie, Hardie, Thome and those others haven't lost to the Yankees over and over again.

For fear of being called Negative Nancy, I won't reveal on here what I think will happen. Just want it known that for the record it's not choking when you lose to a better team. Just hope we can beat the ba$ta^ds just three times of five. That would be very satisfying even if the Twins fell short of the World Series. Get ready for those Derek Jeter fist pump shots between every half inning. I'm going to keep the Altoids within arms reach in preparation for throwing up in my mouth a bunch of times.

Better a five game series than a 7 - don't know why - just feels better.
