Big win today - two in a row and Milwaukee is next. With the way the Twins handle the NL I'm expecting them to take 2 out of 3 against the brewers - especially since Blackburnt is on the DL. Two out of three in Milwaukee with a shot at the sweep today with a BIG series at Chicago coming up. If the Twins rattle off 12 straight they will be at .500. I'm thinking sending Danny V. down did more for the team than any of the call-ups.

The best part of the TV broadcast was when Tremor Puff came up to bat in the 11th and Dick says: 'Puff is batting .145 and against lefties he is batting only .135.' I'm thinking it's the interstate and there's not much difference either way here and both should be quantified with an only.

Don't look now but the Twins are only 7.5 games out after taking game 1 from the white sux. I'm thinking a sweep in Chicago and the season turns around. But it probably would be better if they tank it and trade Liriano & Butters and build for the future.

Trade talks will be full throttle now that the trading deadline is near. National publications mention Liriano will be gone while Sid says the Twins can't trade him because they don't have any starters for next year. (Wow Sid is hard to listen to as it sounds like he is on a respirator.)

Span has gotten a little mention here and there due to the fact a lead off guy is hard to come by. If the price was right don't be surprised if he is traded.

Finally, one name not mentioned is Jamie Carroll. He has been solid at all infield spots, although his bat stinks of late, but if a contender is in need of a utility guy this makes sense. I would expect 2 out of 3 of these guys to be gone by the end of July.

Dozier sent down and now another new face in the infield. I was kind of hoping Flor-imon would play today but he's not in the line-up. (I rather like the name.) Nitschke didn't last long before he was sent back. I would guess he will be cut outright and will go back to Japan.

And the BIG news today is that the Twins will move to 96.3 on the FM dial next year. Now I won't have to sit in the old car with the good AM radio to hear them as I'll be able to dial them up on the boom box. (I wonder if anyone under 25 knows what that is?)

Florimon looks great. Dozier may never come back.

Plus the name Florimon just sounds prettier than Dozer.
