I recieved an early X-mas gift today. Dave Kolter gave me one of the new cds "SEKS-Live at the Henderson Legion '79." What a trip down memory lane. I understand Tom Kolter produced this cd from an old cassette tape that Dave recorded on a little recorder and it turned out pretty darn good. There's 27 songs on it and it just brings back so many memories of these guys playing at the Legion and the fun times we had. Dave said he thought the cds would be available at Bittersweet next week. This would make a great stocking stuffer for Xmas for old SEKS fans. Dave told me the band is practicing regularly for their comeback performance at Kraut Days. With the SEKS reunion, town team baseball and the return of the Tigers, and Tom Phillips' huge retirement party(from the Fire Dept.). the place to get your kicks in 2006 will be in good ole Henderson!

Denny - I hope you enjoy the CD! I had a great time putting it together. They will be available at BitterSweet or directly from me starting next week for only $5.00 each. Look for more information here on the Henderson site. All money made from sales will go toward the production/printing expenses of the CDs and also future promotion of the upcoming shows in May and June! I've taken a few pictures at their last rehearsal and I plan on posting them here soon, so check back in the next day or two!

I just purchased this CD today. An hour and seventeen minutes of music for 5 bucks. You can't beat that deal. I especially like Tallahassee Lassie, Shakin' All Over, and of course the Wipeout drum solo. I can't wait for the first show!

This is Camel, not the Mayor, but I purchased S.E.K.S. this a.m. with my coffee at the Bittersweets and my car-pool buddy Curt Blaschko about wept with nostalgia (spelling)all the way into work. Certainly made the snow more tolerable. The sound is great considering it came from a cassette, nice work Tom K. The packaging is also top notch. I agree with Norton's list of favorites, and would add Barbara Ann and the song about the Native American.

SEKS for five bucks at Bittersweet. Life is great!
