Anyone getting any vibes for this weekend's game yet? I think Frazier is the best coach in the NFL. I love how he talks and recognizes that the team has gotten a lot better and played a lot better, but also says that there is room for improvement. And he's obviously made some good choices for his coordinators, Dave Mustaine on offense and that Williams on defense. Put players in position to exceed!!

So, this week depends on if RGIII plays for not. The Rookie QB has been a major splash in the league and looked quite well. But these ain't last years or the year before's Vikings. I believe whether or not RGIII plays will be the difference. I think he'll be able to make some things happen with his feet, but he'll go head-first into a pile at some point and come out a little whoozy, would be my guess.

It'll be important, too, that we don't shove any officials and get ejected, although the Vikings defense stood tall despite being short-handed for 5/8 of the game. It's tough when your game plan is for 11 players, then have to play with 10 starting it the second quarter could've goofed things up, but Mustaine had a good plan. They must practice with just 10 a couple times a week just in case.

Well, if RGIII plays I expect it to be close, 38-17 or something like that. If he doesn't play I'd expect it not to be as close, 41-3 or something like that.

I saw it as a 7 yard shove by the back judge and a 1/2 yard shove in return by Smith. It's kind of obvious who was out of line and where the suspensions should have been. The best part is Harrison was the first ejection of the season. First! (C.C. to Dylan B. - being first isn't always best.)

Camel - I agree the team did look good playing a guy short. I'm thinking they don't practice with 10 guys that much just because once the other team scores the team a guy short gets to go back to having 11 guys. It just shows how good the defense is under the new coordinator Andy Williams. I imagine he will be a head coach somewhere next year so enjoy his defense and singing while Minnesota still has him.

The Vikings penalty kill unit is ranked 4th in the league through five games so far. For being a man down and holding Chris Johnson to a mere 30yds or so is quite an accomplishment.

As far as this Sunday goes, RGIII has indicated he feels fine and will play. I thought league rules stated that a player has to sit at least one game if they've been concussed to any degree. Maybe not. Either way, if the Vikings can forecheck and play the body as well as they have through the first quarter of the season, they will come away with their 2nd consecutive road victory. A major accomplishment for any team in the NFL.

Again Leslie Nielsen is 2-0 at RFK Stadium. He will stay perfect in the nation's capitol as the Vikings skate to a 27-10 win to go 5-1 on the season and remain in first place in the NFC Norris.

Back to earth. Funny, had we lost the Washington last year we might have RGIII. But what ifs are of no value.

Disappointed that the Vikings didn't get the memo from the NFL indicating a rule change prior to Sunday's game. Clearly the "play action pass" is a new weapon for offenses to utilize, and the Redskins did plenty of this. The "play action pass" is when the QB fakes to a running back to make the defense think its a running play, but then throws the football. Clearly the Vikings hadn't seen this before as Washington receivers were left wide open time after time after time.

Someone at Vikings headquarters is going to be embarrassed when they put paper in the fax machine this a.m. and one of the faxes that comes through five days late is the memo indicating this rule change. You'd think the NFL would be able to e-mail documents like this considering today's technology.

Oh well, next week is another week.

Turnovers were huge! Ponder gets the ball stripped and it lands in the arms of a Skins player on our 5yd line. Next play...TOUCHDOWN!!

Bad overthrow to former Viking safety Madieu Williams results in an int for a TD.

That's 14pts right there. In a game of numbers that's 38 minus 14 which equals 24. We scored 26. It's that simple!!! I am a genious!!

It's okay Vikings fans cuz the Arizona Cardinals come to town next Sunday. These once feared birds lost to the Buffalo Bills at home yesterday. Final score Vikings-35 Cards-20.

You can't bring a knife to a gun fight and that's just what the Vikings did Sunday (well unless you're Steven Seagal). Field goal after field goal doesn't cut it. It needs to be touchdowns and the offensive geniuses at Winter Park are directly to blame. John Carlson was the team's big off-season acquisition and the 3 million dollar man has been silent. It doesn't seem that complicated to go into a four or five tight end set in the red zone and chuck it to Rudy or Johnny. Time to start making the tight ends the focus of the offense in the red zone.

Something has to give Sunday as two 4 & 2 teams clash at the dome. The Cards are without starting QB Kolb and Skeleton will get the start. The Cards have a subpar O-line so look for the Vikings to try and exploit that. In return, expect the Cards to have lots of draws and screens in response - the good old grid iron chess game.

Vikings should have Simpson back in the line up so look for some early down field shots to loosen up the Cards defense. Also look for the Vikings to include Rudy and Carlson in the game plan - especially in the red zone.

Vegas has the Vikes as a 6.5 point favorite so expect the Vikes to win by a field goal. A Blair Walsh field goal. And that's why you draft a kicker.

Heard on pregame this morning that Bart Simpson is once again out for today's game. Just what in the hell is the deal with that?!? Are we seeing the pigskin version of "general soreness"?
