The Legends manufactured single runs in the first 4 innings to hold off the Pitbulls from Union Hill Friday night 4 to 2 in New Prague.

Behind Scott Zeiher's complete game on the rubber and two hits each from Mike Barron and Al Hentges, the Legends improved to 9-2 on the season. They will travel to Edina to take on the Braemar Bees Sunday, July 29th at 4pm.

Braemar's starting pitcher Gary Fritch kept the Legends off balance all game as the Bees handed LSH their 3rd loss of the season yesterday in Edina by a 6-3 tally.

The Legends jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first. Fritch would only allow a single run the rest of the way in his complete game victory. Jason Borchardt was the tough luck loser for LSH in going the distance on the mound. Kent Thostensen had two base hits and Tony Nagel added a double and two walks for LSH.

It's a busy final week ahead for the Legends as they host Bloomington Wednesday night and Veseli Friday night. Both games are at 7:30pm. On Saturday Welcome comes to town for a 1pm faceoff. All three games are at Bruce Frank Field in LeSueur.

Last night's game with Bloomington was called in the top of the 4th due to rain with the Legends leading 4-0. No make up date has been announced. The game will need to be started over according to league rules.

Friday night Veseli comes to LS for a 7:30 tilt and Saturday the Southwest (Welcome) Outlaws visit Bruce Frank Field at 1pm.

Yes, Dirt Roads is reuniting for their first show in just over two months, and second show in quite some time, and maybe it’s only been six or eight shows since its initial performance in 2008.

Hear Dirt Roads electric folk variations of their own songs, Kirby on the Lead Guitar, Off to War, Three Days Change, 3 Dimensional Love, Purple Dragon, Elephant Man, Haircut for Some Headroom, and their attempts at deep covers like Where He Walked, Time Fades Away, Christ for President, Airplane to Heaven, (the latter two added as potentials to the set list), and even a couple covers that you may have heard.

Find comfort knowing that if you miss it, you won’t have missed much. Also keep an ear to the wind for the release of Dirt Roads debut album, “The Road Less Graveled”, available sometime after its recorded.

The Legends didn't allow a run in two games this weekend in shutting out Veseli 5-0 Friday night and drubbing Welcome 9-0 Saturday afternoon. Errorless ball also aided the LSH (11-3) cause.

Sounds like the Bloomington game will be resumed where it left off after all. LSH was up 4-0 in the top of the 4th when the rains came Wed. night. The remainder of the game will be played this week. Date and time to be announced.

The Bloomington Eagles forfeited the rest of the suspended game from last Wednesday. It was 4-0 Legends after four innings.

This puts LSH at 12-3 on the season and makes them RVL Wilson Division Champions!!! St. Peter, also 11-3, has one game left with Union Hill but no matter the outcome LSH owns the tiebreaker since they defeated the Saints 2-0 earlier in the season.

Way to go Legends in your inaugural season!!! State tournament is Aug. 17-19 and Aug. 24-26.

Where is the state tourney?

I believe it'll be held in Shakopee, Jordan, Union Hill, and Lonsdale this year. State tourney schedule should be out this week sometime. I'll update where the Legends will be playing.
