Too many runners left on base and a costly throwing error spelled doom as Belle Plaine beat Henderson 7-1 Saturday night in Belle Plaine.

It was a hit fest early on for both teams but the home town Tigers just couldn't come up with the key hit with runners on base. Belle Plaine's pitcher Shane Hofmann settled down after getting touched early and often.

Belle Plaine now will face St. Peter in region action which begins Wednesday, Aug. 1st in St. Peter.
