During the first 8 seasons of the Henderson Tigers baseball team, the late Norris Brandt was a big Tigers booster. Although you rarely saw him cheering at a game, you could drive by Hilltop Park when no one else was around and he would be there picking up garbage, painting and repairing picnic tables, and planting and watering plants and flowers. He was also instrumental in getting a recycling trailer made to assist with team expenses.
In appreciation for all that Norris did for the Tigers, a tree will be dedicated in his memory at Hilltop Park prior to the 4pm Tigers vs. Jordan game this Sunday. A short ceremony will be held at about 3:30-3:45 depending on the conclusion of the LSH Legends game. Everyone is welcome to attend and admission to the final home game is free.
The Tigers will be holding their annual season ending raffle at this game with cash prizes of $100,$50,and $25 plus other prizes during the 7th inning stretch. Tickets are available from team members at $1:00 per chance.
