Private First Class Tim Marsolais, son of Deb and Aaron Halloran, stationed in Bowri Tana Combat Outpost, Afghanistan with the 4th Brigade 25th Infantry Division (Airborne) 425 BSTB, arrived home on the 4th of July… for two weeks. He is home visiting with family and friends. On Saturday, Aaron and Deb hosted a party for Tim and his wife, Alex. Tim ran the clay pigeon thrower all day coaching his uncles, aunts, wife and mom in the finer points of hitting the targets. Aaron ran the grills, helped load shotguns, and gave a brief fireworks display after dark. Rita shot 4 different guns, hitting a few targets. Bruce said the smell of gun powder brought him back to his days on the gun range in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Cathy relaxed enjoying the perfect weather watching all of kids play in the pool. Jim and Mary Jean showed up with rhubarb dessert and joined the gathering as they watched the fireworks. Tim's Grandparents, Cheryl and Malcolm Theis, along with his uncles, Tom and his family, Bob and Dave all traveled from the Twin Cities to join in the fun. Aaron's sisters Gwen, Janel, Ellen and Rita showed up with their families to visit with Tim and Alex. Steven Halloran, from down the road, dropped in to see what all the racket was about.
We are grateful to all our servicemen and women and pray for their safe return home as we celebrate this holiday...and all the future holidays to come.

Greetings to Marcie Dvorak at the State Bank of New Prague. I turned 63 recently and went into the bank on Monday to renew my driver’s license…Honestly, this is the first time in all the years I’ve been driving that I forgot to lie about my weight…Marcie, if it’s not too late… Could you knock off about ten?
