With the departure of Scotty Davis, there is now no local Highway Maintainence employee in the Henderson district, probably a first since the 1930's. What's up with this?. In the meantime, noxious weeds are taking over the right of way, hazardous conditions exist on local right of way, ditches full of sediment, County roads 5 and 12 washouts remain unrepaired. What's going on here? Our commissioners are wasting their time and our money dicussing trivia such as hiring an administrator while they allow our infrastructure self destruct.

Maybe it's time for a new video or two.

One of the two maintenance positions for the Henderson Shop was open due to a resignation at the beginning of June. Since we have a union, there are certain procedures that we need to follow to allow internal transfers to occur. As of July 9th, we now have 2 highway maintenance employees that will oversee the Henderson shop and take care of the 2 snow plow routes that start out of that shop.

There is a news release that the newspaper will be printing soon in regards to projects that are upcoming this summer on CSAH 12, 5 and 6. We submitted the news release, but I'm not sure of when it was going to be printed. I'll post it on here as well.
