Saturday September 24th, 10am- 11:30 am at the Henderson Library Senator Dekruif and Representative Gruenhagen will hold "in district office hours."
Reservations are preferred and can be made by calling the Senator's Capitol Office (651) 296-5558.
Walk ins also welcome and will be scheduled on first come first served basis.
This event will be held in the library meeting room.

Whatever happened to public open meetings....what's with this appointment only stuff??? Who's working for who here???

Kind of sad....especially since it's at the "public" library. I guess they want to have their talking points ready for the likes of you.

They will probably be busy coaching their "No New Taxes" lemmings on how to defeat the school referendum.

Maybe they'll tell us how they balanced their budget on the backs of the Cities (LGA), Schools (Unallottment) and Property Owners (elimination of the homestead tax credit). Woody Guthrie nailed it when he penned -

I refuse to schedule an appointment to meet my senator in what should be an open meeting but wholeheartedly plan on attending as a "walk-in" because after the way the current legislature kicked the can down the road by "balancing" the budget this go-round, they deserve angry citizens in their faces.

Can someone give the chatter community an update on what Senator Dekruif & Rep. Gruenhagen have been working on at the state for the past year?

I'm surprised they didn't charge for tickets. I guess that's only at the national level.
Democracy has a price and to Paul Ryan it would be about $15.
We're moving into dangerous ground when elected officials start requiring appointments or charging for constituents to meet with them.

I emailed both DeKrooff and Groonhagen this week. Seems I get a response from one of them within hours, and never hear back from the other. It has happened the half-dozen or so times that I've written both of them asking them to support this, or support that, or simply vote for the betterment of their constintuents instead of the Party Playbook. I will leave you to speculate who is who.
