Big game tonight with the traveling Circus known as the LA Lakers bringing their glitz and glam and two consecutive NBA Championships to town. Good for them. Let's blow the roof off Target Center tonight and give those Lakers a cold Minnesota reception, send them back to Hollyweird with their gaudy gold chains around their neck and flashy championship rings tarnished on their fingers. Kolby Bryant shoots 8-of-26 from the floor and the Wolves score consecutive victories with a 98-95 victory. Do it!

OoooWoooooo!

Perfect timing for the Wolves to have a bye week. They really needed to regroup after losing to the Lakers last Friday. Some might think a bye week this early in the season is a bad thing, but with a young team this is a perfect week to correct some things from the first three weeks of the season.

Happy Thanksgiving. OooWooooo! Go Wolves.

"In the second half, we did not give maximum effort. We gave them too many second-chance opportunities and turned the ball over too many times. It was a bunch of little things that we failed to execute."
-- Minnesota coach Kurt Rambis

Inexcuseable, this after last night's loss to lowly Golden State. Sure Williams and Flynn returned to action for the Wolves for the first time all season, but blowing an 11-point first half lead and trailing for the final 18 minutes against Golden State ... blaaaaahhhh!! I'M SO FRUSTRATED!!!! Seriously, I was ready to wipe 6-18 off the slate now that we are full strength. Actually, we're only 5 games out of the eight spot in the West, so the season started last night, and we're 0-1. On the bright side - Williams looks Fo' real! Beasely is a legitimate scorer! Love is, well, Loveable! Milinkovich gives us some real presence inside! Flynn can be dynamic once he gets his legs! Brewer is the coinessential role player! The pieces are in place ... BELIEVE!

On a side note I realize that I like the west coast games because I can watch the whole thing start to finish without having to play with my kids or talk to them or talk to anybody. Just hybernate to the basement, down the sound on the TV and listen to the game on KFAN. You can really hear those sneakers squeak on the radio! And the snap of the twine when "Beasely for three .... goooooodd!"

So there I am, Vikings game over, remote in hand, knowing I should probably go to bed ... but alas ... the Wolves v. Clippers on FSN. Being it's Christmas week thought I'd treat myself to a little good cheer and a little late night and watch our newly full-strength Wolves battle the Clippers. It would be a great indication of just how far the Wolves have come. Seriously, we've shown great strides, have a solid foundation in place, and the Clippers are perennial dormats, so it's only logical that our Snarlin' Wooffies run right round the Clippers, as if to say ... "you stay in the cellar, baby, we moving on up." One could contend that it was the first "statement game" the Wolves have played in quite some time.

My only statement is "what the FROG!!! Guard someone you piece of dung!!" Ish. Allow 68 points to the Clippers in the first half!!! Here's my idea, let's all together boycott the T-Wolves games until they decide to play some FROGGIN defense!! That's right, make Target Center empty!! That'll learn 'em that we're done with this mediocrity and FROGGIN lack of effort!!

Whew, feel better after that. Sorry, I get a little short after staying up too late to watch my favorite basketball team.

I never knew Target Center could fill up like that. Plus the crowd was actually involved!! Rubio is a magician.
