The next Eucharistic Celebration at St.Thomas is Saturday, July 31 at 5 pm for the people of the parish and at St. Scholastica on Sunday, August 1 at 9 am for Francis Ademmer.

Many in the St. Thomas community got two inches of rain this weekend.

Is our dear Father Dave in need of a battery powered alarm clock?

The annual Andy Fogarty Ride took place on Saturday, July 24th. The ride took the bikers from Belle Plaine, through Kasota, Nicollet, Rapidan Dam, Green Isle and back to Belle Plaine. Andy will always be... one generation from St. Thomas.

Whoops...Joyce Weldon and Shirley Farrell are sisters and Connie Connolly Selly is “one of ours” says Mary Connolly...It's the “...nolly/...nelly” thing...my apologies.
On Friday afternoon, Ray and Mary Catherine Connolly visited the Jack and Vangie Burns home...and “didn't play cards.”

Francis and Betty Morarity hosted the 2010 Connolly Reunion at the party room in their apartment complex in Burnsville for about thirty descendents of John and Catherine Shaughnessy, and John's folks, Dennis and Catherine Hennessy Connolly. Attending the happy gathering were Ray and Mary Connolly, and members of their immediate family Ann Connolly Seurer, Terri Connolly Wolf, Bill and Monica Connolly Kenneally and Jerusha of Eagan, and also Jeanette Connolly, Jeanette's daughter Jennifer Ochoa, and granddaughters Kenzie and Sadie..

Family and friends of Kelly Koller gathered for her bridal shower at the Henderson Community Center on Saturday. Kelly will become the happy bride of Justin Nielsen on the eleventh of September.

The Walker's have been busy. Mary's daughter and granddaughter came from North Carolina. Her son and family from Princeton, daughter from South Minneapolis; and Jim's granddaughter from New Prague spent time at the lake, tubing and water-skiing. Another daughter, son-in-law and their youngest son came from Oklahoma on Thursday and enjoyed a family dinner in St. Paul. On Saturday, Mary and Jim went to the Log House Threshing show in Hastings. Mary has missed only about three of these shows in the last 20 years. On Sunday, Jim, daughter Ann, her husband Matt and son Andrew all ran in the Bun Run in Montgomery. Andrew took first place in the 16-18 year old category and 5th overall, Ann took second in her age group. Grandpa Jim was the oldest person to run in the race. The St. Thomas folks and Mary think he should have gotten a humungous trophy for that. Mary was there with hugs at the end of the race.

Emily O'Connell, Miss Leprechaun, participated in the Kolacky Days parade. The Irish float was pulled on Sunday's parade by her dad “Doc” and Travis Simon rode with the Le Sueur County Sheriff's posse. Many from the community enjoyed the Czech celebration and festivities.
