I'm sorry, I kept meaning to post the results here but kept forgetting.
There were 41 entries at the 1st Annual Minnesota State Championships, and 3 states represented: Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota. The biggest class had 7 people - the Novice Right Hand 188+ class. There are some strong novices in Henderson! The bar said the tournament was great business for them, and said they'd like me to come back and do another one during the Eskimo Days in Feb. Look for more details in the fall.
I would like to thank my dad for running the brackets, my mom for filming (for Armtv), David Bauer for helping ref, Yosef and Erin Meyer for helping ref, and everybody that came and made this tournament a success. Also thanks to Jeff for helping set this up, and to Ron and Michelle for letting me hold the tournament at Hog Wild.

Rich beat Tony while the tornado sirens were going off, then went up against Shawn, and decided to call it quits (probably a good idea) so he could go inside the bar. He said to just take him out of the overall, and Shawn and Tony agreed to split the $50 prize since they are teammates and they said they split all their winnings anyways.
Coincidentally, all the the winners of the men's pro classes were the World Champions. David Bauer (2002 World Champ at 121 lbs) weighed in at 148 fully dressed (with steel toes boots on) and won the 0-154 lbs. class right and left. Tony Kitowski (2006 World Champion at 176 lbs.) weighed in at 186.5 fully dressed and won the 155-220 lbs. class. Rich Lupkes (1988/1989 Super Heavyweight World Champion) won the supers right and left. He did not weigh in but he weighs about 310 lbs.
The guys in the 187 lbs. weight class (Tony, Marty, Yosef) told me to just throw them in the 220 lbs. weight class so that there would be more prize $ for them. That's why the middleweight class was 155-220 lbs.
Also, nobody put up a hondo.
