Twins on MLB channel today - Tolburt and Jock Jones will be starting in AAA.

I guess the only question now is the pitching staff. How does Mahay fit into that equation - weird to sign him so late into spring training.

I can see this closer thing being a work in progress for a bit.

Espn taped a episode with Joe Mauer earlier this year from his high school Cretin Derham. I forget what the show is called but a friend of mine from work was at the taping.. Anyways look for it to be airing on Espn right around April 12th it should be cool to watch...

Span hits his own Mom with a foul ball today (she is ok) - he should buy a lottery ticket - that's some crazy odds.

Killebrew to speak on April 8th

Traverse des Sioux Library System is proud to present Storytellers, a series of programs intended to support, expand and enrich the artistic, historic and cultural heritage of the region. The first event is April 8, when Hall of Famer and Minnesota Twins legend Harmon Killebrew will speak at the Church of St. Peter, 1801 W. Broadway, St. Peter. Come join us as he illuminates some of the high points of Minnesota sports history.

He will be available for a Q & A session and for autograph signing after his talk; he will sign only one piece of memorabilia per person, and he will not sign bats or jerseys.

The event is free and open to the public and made possible by the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008, which dedicated funding to preserve Minnesota's arts and cultural heritage. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For more information, call TdS Library System at 507-625-6169.

Rauch looked real comfortable in the 9th inning as the closer last night - none of the huffing and puffing Nathan does.

Should be interesting how Delmon fairs this year - home run in game 1 but he was swinging at some pitches in the dirt in game two.

I'd rather see Harris than Punto at third.......

Rauch - great news. Jury still out.
D. Young - scapegoat. Will never do anything right for the fans of this team.
Mauer - Homered last night, but didn't hit a ball out of the infield in his first game with the new contract. Can you say "complacent?" Looks like he duped us with that no-trade clause. Should've traded him and moved on with one of those other two catchers that they like so much.
Plonto - has hit one ball to the outfield in each of the first two games. Ahead of last year's pace.
Hardy - has the longest mid-section of any shortstop in the history of the game.
O-Hud, or O-Dog - will spend the season making the routine plays look dramatic and do a lot of smiling afterwards.
Span - might never recover after hitting his mom with a foul.
Baker - should participate in extended spring training until June 1 every year.
Thome - what have you done for me lately?

Great job to get back into the thick of things last night. 0-2 is a tough hole to climb out of. Great job, Gardy. The Twins have to go 5-2 on this road trip to have a chance.

It's only game 2 and we started on the west coast, hate the west coast.

Carmel - I don't think Hardy has a long mid-section - it's short legs. He looks great at short - plus he is on a pace to hit 108 homeruns.

Rauch does it again tonight (not Ron Davis yet). Rauch should tattoo his eye lids.

That's an accute observation there Norton, I'll take a closer look and see what the deal is with this Hardy. Regardless his swing is violent and as you said, he's on pace for 108 homers. Plonto's RBI pace dropped back to 54, still up from last year for all you Harris supporters.

Other observations from game three ...

Parmano is my new favorite Twins pitcher. He was throwing it where he wanted to last night, and loved that when he threw ball one it was normally at the batter's elbow.

O-Hud hacking at that pitch leading off the fourth on a 3-1 count with Mauer and Morenose next to the bat was a bit foolish. Especially considering the score (0-0) and the Twins were still hitless. It was a pitcher's pitch and he grounded meekly to short.

The ninth was passed my bedtime, but Raunch is 2-of-2 and that is great.

Was a little concerned when Spanzie went against the wall and about ripped his foot off his leg at the ankle. Can't lose our centerfielder. The ball hit is glove, and if he wants to be the next T-Nuts Hunter or Kirby Plunkett that's a catch that he's going to have to make.

White Sox lose!!
