Sharon M. Weckwerth, age 63 of Henderson, died on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at her home in rural Henderson. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Arlington United Methodist Church in Arlington, MN. Rev. Wayne Swanson will officiate the services. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kolden Funeral Home in Henderson, also one hour prior to services at church. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery in Henderson. Sharon was born on April 5, 1945 to Sylvan and Dorothy (Apitz) Tesch in Saint Peter, MN. She attended Henderson schools and graduated from Henderson High School in 1963. She married Virgil Weckwerth on July 15, 1977 at Arlington United Methodist Church. She worked for Fingerhut in Gaylord and also for Green Giant. She opened her own business in 1984 called Valley Western Wear in Henderson. She then worked for 16 years at S.M.S.C. Gaming Enterprise in Corporate Finance. She enjoyed gardening and antiquing. Sharon is survived by her mother, Dorothy Tesch of Gaylord, MN; sister, Karen Tesch of Faribault, MN; step-son, Kerry Weckwerth of Fort Worth, TX; special friend, Larry Carlson of Henderson, MN; aunt and uncle, Earl & Marvel Tesch of Henderson, MN; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Sylvan; and husband Virgil.
