For those who didn't know Whitebread and Whiskey feature local talents Tom Kolter, Enoch Peterson and Joel Turensky. They are making their debut, as is Dirt Roads, a combination of Phil Camel, Jeff Kreger (of Green Isle) and Kirby Weckworth. Neither "band" has played before more than two people, not counting Skeddy, and reports are that both are prepared, yet nervous. The Roads will introduce a handful of original songs that will receive mixed reviews.

Can't wait. Should be a great evening for kraut, beer and music. Thanks to the Kraut committee for their efforts in kicking off what hopes to be a spectacular festival in June!!

The Roads will be playing a tune called "Sauerkraut Days" to kick off their set. Don't know if the song is aptly titled, but that's the working title. It'll flash those that remember back to Antique Days, and was inspired by Camel's Uncle Brian and his friend Kenny B. I dunno, they were just funny guys ...

Great article in the Free Press this morning. I wish they would have put Jeff's picture in the article to put a face with all of the quotes. But then again he's so well known through out So. Minn. that maybe it isn't necessary. Anyway, I hope everyone makes it to the Kraut Kickoff tonite. It looks like it's going to be a nice night.

I'm in the New Prague High School today-been looking for Turensky all morning to get a preview, and show him the Free Press.

Jack is fired up to sit on Grandpa Ron's Farmall again.

Will there be little kid sized shirts available? Got a guy at work interested. He's already got a Tigers shirt and loves it! His daycare buddies are jealous too! Once he shows up with a cabbage truck shirt there may be a throwdown in the backyard.
