Will anybody be participating in the Republican or Democratic caucus at Hilltop Elementary tomorrow night? It is touted as the most grassroots aspect of our election process. More a neighborhood meeting to discuss a platform than anything else, from what I understand. Let's take this country back, street by street and house by house!

I went to two meetings Monday after work so my answer is no I'm not. I'm taking my house back!

I will be Caucusing with the Republicans if they will have me....where will the Nihilists be organizing?

Grassroots local control of our government starts at the caucuses. If you want to have input in any of your government functions, from local to national, it behooves you to attend. Lobbyists and special interest groups are powerful in this country because not enough people like us are willing to participate.

And if you don't go, they'll come and take your guns.

I was approached by a “conservative” last night that is trying to convince me to support Mitt. I am not convinced yet.

I'd be interested in how many people attend the caucuses at Hilltop and other locations around the state. My dad told me he attended one at Hilltop years ago and there were only 4 people. My guess is that won't be the case this year.

I'm expecting a massive turnout in my precinct in Saint Paul.

Record crowd of 32 attendees in Green Isle, normally there are 3 to 5 Clinton 17, Obama 15

Impressive....Highland Park Jr. High in St. Paul was buzzing...my precinct had over 340 votes cast....Obama beat Clinton almost 2 to 1.

34 votes cast in the Dem caucus at Hilltop, about 2 dozen stuck around to resolute. Obama wins 21-13, nearly a mirror image of the state's percentage.

Better than 2 dozen GOP members also, supporting Romney by a very small margin over McCain and Huckabee.

Discussions included, but was not limited to, health care, immigration, Iraq, alternative energy, trade.
